DFL: Donata Hops will be new chairman and follows Christian Seifert

A woman at the top of the German Football League Donata Hops takes over the chairmanship of the DFL management and also the position as a spokesperson of the DFL-Bureau.

That informed the DFL on Saturday. The 45-year-old succeeds Christian Seifert. Their contract initially envisages a term until 31 December 2024.

Currently, Hops works as a Managing Director and Partner at BCG Digital Ventures, a company of the Boston Consulting Group. Previously, the Mediawoman of the Year worked in 2014 among other things for 14 years at Axel Springer and was the last chairman of the publishing business of the bild group.
