Live the Dirt League rolls the dice in the new series of dragons and dungeons
Live the Dirt League's New Calaboons and dragons The series is launched today. The new series with script of the Sketches Comedy canal based in New Zealand, logica D & D, is a humorous version of the Table Rol Game similar to how man NPC or Logica pubg deepened in the MMORPG and PUBG FANDOM. The series of 10 episodes follows a D & D campaign, which shows the action in the world from the perspective of the characters that have to deal with the sometimes inscrutable and unpredictable actions of the players.
To help go into the world of _logic D & D _ and learn more about the program, comicbook.com spoke with the creative leaders of the Adam King series and Robert Hartley by email:
ComicBook.com: Viva LA Dirt League has focused mainly on the humor of the sketches that involve videogames. Why change to a series centered on D & D?
Adam King: I think the interest of people in our content is not just that they are 'comic sketches', is that we really enter the games and the community that we are making fun. Whether they are fantasy mmo with man NPC, Pubg, Red Dead, Dark Souls, or reality of retail work and daily life: we like to think that we are showing real moments in which you can relate in a fun and unique way. Then, with our passion and Rob by D & D, we wanted to extend that to the world of D & D.
Robert Hartley: In addition, the world of D & D is not as different from the world of videogames as you might think. Inside the fantasy environments of World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age and many others, players create customizable characters and adventures in an open world Sandbox game, sometimes forming equipment with other players or NPC to perform missions and kill Monsters It sounds pretty D & D, even before considering _ Baldur_ and valle of the icy wind and other video games literally configured in the D & D settings.
Is this a project totally with a script or did the casting / drafting equipment to sit down to interpret D & D in the program?
King: Unlike our D & D campaign on our second channel, it is fully written. Even though I think we could do it upside down and play some games based on the narrative of the program? Rob could throw more light on this.
HARTLEY: Yes, this is completely written, although I wanted the actors to know at least what they were going to parody, so for those of the cast they had never played, I took them to my house and ran. An introductory one-shot for them. They played as the characters who were going to interpret in the series, but nothing of that game came to the scripts ... Still.
Could you explain the basic plot of D & D Logic? What kind of campaign does it follow, who are the characters, etc.?
King: I'll let our talented writer, Mr. Robert Hartley, get on stage in this.
HARTLEY: So, although it was important for me that every play could be independent and be seen out of order or in the context of others, I also wanted to reward those who see them all in order with an appearance of direct line. So the season one follows approximately the same general arc you expect from a short campaign: to know the rest of the group, find out how combat works, learn a little more about the defects and strengths of others, explore the world of the campaign and Fight against a Big Bad Evil Guy (BBEG) at the end.
What were some of the challenges of bringing D & D Logic of the concept to a finished product? How is the production of Epic NPC Man or some of your other Sketches Comedy programs?
King: Logica D & D is one of our greatest productions. It has our larger cast, with nine main actors and a completely new costume review for all of them. Four characters are with full prostheses and facial paint, with three others in smaller amounts of prosthesis, as well as more diverse locations and longer sketches. This project has tested our team in a fantastic way, and I really think it will be displayed on the screen.
HARTLEY: D & D 5th Edition has 13 different classes with which you can play (magician, fighter, rogue, barbaro, etc.) and I knew I wanted this to feel like a set, instead of a main character. After all, the goal of the game is to play as an adventurer team, working together against the challenges presented to you. So initially I did not know in what classes to focus on and assign a role at the 13 classes. It was then at a production meeting that reminded me how that means a significant increase in the size of the distribution and the budget. Then I reviewed and I wrote 4 of the classes, to save them for a later season, maybe.
There are several live or lively projects based on D & D in process at this time, including a long-term film. Why is it now the right time to adapt the D & D games to more traditional means?
King: As a rookie in Dungeons and Dragons, I can see that D & D is having a massive resurgence at this time. Whether it is the desire of people to interact within the narrative, or acceptance of the Geek / Nerd culture in the mainstream, or even simply people who throw themselves on the hot topic, it really seems that the interest of the people are slightly slightly Chopped by the game or are already completely immersed and seek complementary content to enjoy even more.
HARTLEY: Yes, Adam has said it well. I can not explain why D & D has become so popular recently easier than I could describe the shape of a flame. I can certainly speculate, but what is that good to anyone. All I know with certainty is that they play more people than ever and there is a hearing for the D & D content.
If D & D Logic ends up being as popular as some of its other programs, would you like it to continue beyond 10 initial episodes?
King: Even from before I started rolling, we were quite sure that our audience would love it. Logica D & D And we already talked internally about what we want to show within season 2, season 3 and beyond. There are even some small Easter eggs, characters points and history points that we are configuring in season 1 that will not bear fruit up to later seasons. So we are certainly in the mentality of future seasons.
HARTLEY: I have a list of around 50 ideas for Sketches, so I hope it continues! And as Adam says, I have deliberately created jokes that I do not intend to give their fruits until season 4 or beyond! As a DM, I'm used to playing the game long.
Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers to tune the program?
King: If you are a fan of D & D, you will love how connected this program feels with the D & D game experience and the D & D community. If you are a VLDL fan, you will love seeing all the cast of Viva, the internal jokes and the comedy style you know and enjoy. If you are only a fan of comedy and nerd / geek culture in general, you will love this tribute to the tests and tribulations of a group of friends who play together.
HARTLEY: I could not have said it better. Here is something for a wide range of interest.
