The Witcher 3 has passed 100,000 simultaneous number of players at Steam

This whole Netflix thing is paying off.

While CD project Red has always been a name that the PC circles knew, you can say that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has helped to bring it to the next level. The game was very popular and brought consoles a much bigger eye on the company and the game series as before. And it also helped the IP overall because a new Netflix show based on the franchise is now running wildly what is reflected in the current trends of the game.

It was reported at the end of last year der Hexer 3 had reached the highest player number of all times at Steam with 94,601 simultaneous players. At the beginning of the new year, however, this player number was broken again, with the number of players reached on January 1st amazing 101.930.

Considering that this is only on Steam and the game is available on several other storefronts and all three main consoles, it is fair to say that the whole thing has worked well with Netflix for the franchise.
