This offers a new depth in Lore and Artworks and thus ensures a lot of hype at our editor Alexander Leitsch, which is especially looking forward to the upcoming MMORPG.

In December 2020, Riot Games announced a MMORPG to League of Legends. Although neither Gameplay nor deeper information about the game is available, but still the hype is already great. Because Riot Games is one of the few companies that players meet the next big MMORPG.

An survey in the news about the Lol-MMORPG has so far 7,658 readers took part on MeinMMO:

• 73.53%, and thus over 5,600 readers, stated that their interest in the game is very high.
• Only 372 people agreed with little or very little interest.

The great interest is also due to the fact that Riot Games has put a lot of love in history, the characters and the staging of the game world. This love is well recognized by LOL, but much better in the card game Legends of Runeterra. And she is important to withdraw from generic MMORPGs.

Who speaks here? Alexander Leitsch is the MMORPG expert at Meinmmo and has thousands of hours in titles like Guild Wars 2, Eso and Black Desert. In addition to new MMORPGs, which he reads again and again and writes reports, he is also traveling in Teamfight Tactics and Legends of Runterra and actively pursue the E-Sports scene of LOL.

Legends of Runeterra awakens the cards to life and that is great

What makes Legends of Runeterra so well? Who crashes into the card game, will meet many well-known Lol champions, but also your friends or followers. These include, for example, Poros for the followers of Freljord or soldiers fighting at the side of Champions from Demacia.

It always comes to special interactions between the different champions, but also the champions and their followers. Not only funny puns and jokes are transported over these interactions, but also told new Lore content to the World Runeterra.

The way the cards interact with each other, makes them somehow lively, which I really succeeded.

Good staging Even off the game: Anyone who already celebrates the trailers and Cinematics at League of Legends should also take a look at the YouTube channel to Legends of Runeterra (via YouTube). Because even off the card game there is a lot of love for the LOL universe.

In fun stories or epic cinematics, new champions and expansions are announced to Legends of Runeterra.

The highlight for me is the official launch trailer to the game. Breathe has a very special mood, which is accompanied with beautiful animations and an epic soundtrack.

Love for detail is important to stand out from generic MMORPGs

Why are my hopes for the LOL-MMORPG so big? Riot Games shows at League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra, with what attention to detail you work and how important you are the characters and the Lore. And that's exactly important to withdraw from generic MMORPGs.

The best example for me is Elyon, an Asia MMORPG, which appears in the West on September 29th. Craftsmanship is a good game with chic graphics, action-rich fighting, cool dungeons and huge PVP battles. But Elyon is certainly not a hit and that has already been noted in the beta.

In my criticism, I have written among other things that it is too generic and somehow soulless. You have little recognition value, neither visually nor content. I can hardly remember the characters from the story or special places, although I played the beta just under a week ago.

On the other hand, hundreds of things to League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra come to me and the world has somehow impressed.

One knows the successful MMORPGs: The most successful MMORPGs in the west were never surprises that have come from nothing but always bound to a franchise or name:

• SWTOR uses the Star Wars Franchise

One has often even a picture, even if you never played. Outside the MMORPG Buble, hardly anyone will know Archeage, Elyon or Bless Unleashed. Her trailers, their characters, their artworks or their lore are not particularly and interesting enough to hang up with the players.

A similar problem also had the game Magic Legends, because barely one could remember the title: Magic: Legends had many ingredients to become the next MMO hit, but a missing - now it's dead.

LOL-MMORPG should not satisfy every player

What do not know about the MMORPG? little. Currently, it is known only that it should play Runeterra in the world. Whether it becomes a theme park MMO and whether Pvp plays a greater role is still uncertain.

According to Greg Ghostcrawler Street, Executive Producer of the Lol-MMORPG, the game should still take a lot of time to meet the requirements. However, he also said that players do not love all the features in it.

In a tweet he shared with: We will make some decisions with which you may not agree with. Players want different things in their games. That is a good thing. Some of you will not like the game at all. Also good.
